Penrhyndeudraeth is served by a National Rail station, and local buses 1, 2, 32 and 98 stop in the village. The Ffestiniog Steam Railway runs through the village and the station is just a few hundred yards along the road from Idris Bach cottage. From here you can use the steam train network to get around Snowdonia, or just take a ride for fun.
The cottage is situated a few miles from Tremadog to allow you take advantage of the excellent year-round climbing, and there is plenty of room for your gear under the stairs.
